The Elela Attah Foundation is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to empowering young people through education, mentorship, and leadership development. We exist to help young people discover their potential, build confidence, and gain the tools they need to shape meaningful futures for themselves and their communities.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is simple but powerful: to ensure that young people, regardless of their background, have access to the guidance, opportunities, and encouragement needed to thrive. We believe that when young people are supported early, they grow into leaders who drive lasting change in their communities and beyond.

What We Do

We design and deliver programmes that focus on personal development, leadership, and confidence building. Our initiatives work directly with schools and community groups to provide mentorship, practical learning experiences, and safe spaces where young people can grow, dream, and believe in their future.

Our flagship programme, Hope for a Tree Initiative, brings leadership training, mindset development, and mentorship to young people, beginning with schools and vulnerable communities in Nigeria.

Our Impact So Far

Through the Hope for a Tree Initiative, we have already begun creating meaningful change. In our first outreach, we supported and empowered orphaned girls through mentorship, leadership sessions, and confidence-building activities. The programme helped them see themselves not as limited by their circumstances, but as young people with purpose, potential, and a future. The experience strengthened their self-belief, encouraged discipline and resilience, and gave them a renewed sense of hope and belonging.

Our Long-Term Vision

Our vision is to expand our programmes across Nigeria and, in time, across Africa -reaching more schools, more communities, and more young people each year. We aim to build sustainable partnerships, develop scalable programmes, and create a growing network of empowered young leaders who will transform their communities from within.
